Our Story

Sebestik Golf is run by PGA Professional, David Sebestik. David is the Head Golf Professional at Lake of the Woods Golf Course, bringing 17 years of experience in the golf industry and 13 years as a PGA Professional. He has built a reputation for developing golfers of all ages and skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to competitive amateurs refining their performance.

David played both golf and basketball at Parkland College before completing his degree at Southern Illinois University. His competitive background provides technical knowledge with practical, on-course experience.

In addition to his work at the course, David has spent 13 years coaching high school and junior high golf. Under his guidance, multiple players have advanced to compete at the collegiate level. His achievements include being named News-Gazette Coach of the Year in 2023 and leading the Mahomet-Seymour Junior High Boys team to a state runner-up finish in 2025.

Known for his approachable style and ability to tailor instruction to everyone, David is committed to helping every golfer improve, enjoy the game, and reach their personal goals.
